#CallieStrong Becomes Honorary Roller Girl

Callie June Shaffer of Hamilton, OH has become an Honorary Roller Girl for the Black-n-Bluegrass Roller Girls. BBRG presented her with an official plaque and an entire hand-made custom skater outfit and gear including little crocheted roller skates. Callie turns two-years-old on July 18th and has been battling Neuroblastoma, which forms in developing nerve cells in infants and young children since January. She has already gone through 5 rounds of chemotherapy and had surgery to remove the tumor. She is being put back into the hospital for a stem cell transplant but overall everything is going so much better than could have been expected.
Callie’s parents, Albree and Tiffany Shaffer adopted her not long before her diagnosis and has been a solid support system every step of the way. The community has rallied behind little Callie as she shows everyone that she is Tiny But Mighty #CallieStrong! We would love for the community to show their support as she continues to fight by sending her Birthday Cards with encouraging words for her 2nd Birthday on July 18th. Cards can be sent to Callie Shaffer, P.O. Box 806, Hamilton Ohio 45012.

Callie’s Boutfit was made possible by Sara Kat Eiler Beiting (Cincinnati 911 Operator), Shannon Duggan (Relator at Pivot Realty) and Mike Storms (BBRG Coach). The photos were taken by Ralph Zink Photography. People can also support her at GoFundMe page at www.gofundme.com/tinybutmighty17
