Hopefully you’ve marked your calendars for Saturday August 13, 2011 and will be joining us at Mills Park for a day of entertainment, food, and fun.
The daylong event promises to serve up excitement for adults and children alike. You will find everything from live music to volleyball match ups between your favorite local rivalries and everything in between.
The festivities are set to begin at 10 a.m. The competition begins with two matches between teen rivalries, followed by the Cincinnati Rollergirls versus the Black-N-Blue Bluegrass Rollergirls. Next there will be a match up between local television personalities from Fox 19 and Channel 5 WLWT. The evening wraps up at 7 p.m. with Police Officers and Fire Fighters battling it out for final bragging rights.
Once you’ve seen your favorite rivalry take to the sand, be sure to dance to the rhythm with an afternoon full of live entertainment OR participate in one of the many family friendly activities. Enjoy the musical stylings of; 3DayRule, OMEB & The School of Rock, and Cincinnati Sinatra – Matt Snow, just to name a few. Local Legend, and NKYF spokesperson, Bobby Mackey will take center stage at 1 p.m.
For the animal lovers amongst us; register to take part in the first ever Pet Parade 4 Youth with Grand Marshal, Marsie Hall Newbold and celebrity judges Frank Marzullo and John Lomax.
All this entertainment making you hungry? Then take a break from the action and visit one of our vendors. We’re pleased to have already joined forces with local favorites like Chubbie’s Carryout, Gold Star Chili, and UDF.
