Like any sport, we need some officials to try and keep us in check. Referees, like the skaters and coaches, are unpaid participants, and donate their time for the love of the sport. Still interested? Read on.

The minimum age requirement for refereeing is 18. Being able to skate is a bonus, but not a requirement. If you are willing to learn, we are willing to train you. Stop out at a practice; we are at Independence Skateway every Tuesday and Thursday evening.
